Morris Area Paratransit System (MAPS)
The Morris Area Paratransit System (MAPS) is operated by the Morris County Department of Human Services. MAPS provides curb to curb transportation to Morris County residents age 60 and over, and to residents age 18 and older who have a physical or mental disability that includes functional limitations. In order to use MAPS, residents must first contact Human Services for registration and reservations.
NJ Transit operates a statewide bus system and an extensive commuter rail network, particularly in northern New Jersey. NJ Transit’s bus fleet is 100% accessible with bus lifts or ramps. NJ Transit Access Link
NJ Transit operates a paratransit service for people with disabilities who are unable to use the local fixed route NJ Transit bus services. NJ Transit Access Link service is only available during the same days and hours as the regularly scheduled local fixed route bus service, including weekends and holidays. In order to use Access link, customers must first call NJ Transit for eligibility and reservations.
Dial-A-Rides are municipally-sponsored local transportation for senior citizens. Some may be able to accommodate persons with disabilities. Visit the Morris County Department of Human Services website for a complete list of municipal dial-a-rides in Morris County.
